Elevate Māori Voices!

The Māori Leadership Summit 2025 marks a historic milestone as the first event of its kind, dedicated to advancing leadership across Aotearoa and beyond. This groundbreaking gathering seeks to place Maori culture at the heart of leadership discussions, ensuring that its values, traditions, and worldview are embedded in the future of governance and business.

About the Event

The summit is more than just a conference—it’s a celebration of wisdom, leadership, and innovation. With a focus on empowering Maori voices and fostering transformative dialogue, this event will bring together visionary leaders, cultural advocates, and changemakers to forge pathways for greater representation across all sectors. At a time when leadership models are being redefined, the Maori Leadership Summit offers a unique platform to explore how Te Ao Maori can shape leadership practices for future generations. From the boardroom to community initiatives, we aim to elevate leadership to new heights.

Join us for this momentous occasion, where culture meets progress!

Why We’re Here: Supporting Māori Leadership

The Leadership Institute was born from our drive to address a critical gap: the lack of diverse representation at senior levels in Australia, starting with women’s leadership. This vision led to our first Women in Leadership forum, which quickly grew to become our flagship event. The overwhelming response to that forum affirmed a powerful truth for us —that even one event has the potential to ignite meaningful change within individuals, sparking a broader impact over time.

Driven by this insight, we expanded our events to support diverse voices across leadership. Our purpose is to create safe, inclusive spaces where people can come together, explore shared challenges, and gain tools to lead with purpose.

The Māori Leadership Summit emerged from feedback at our Indigenous Leadership event, where attendees from New Zealand expressed the need for a platform focused on Māori perspectives.

In 2025, we’re excited to bring this event to Aotearoa. Our role isn’t to define what needs to be done but to support a space for honest dialogue, inspiration, and collaboration. We’re here simply as facilitators, offering a platform for ideas to flow freely and for delegates to take valuable insights into their own leadership journeys.
