FUELING THE MOMENTUM IN MELBOURNE
The Women in Leadership Summit returns to Melbourne in 2025 for its 10th edition — a milestone event that continues to inspire and empower women to break barriers and lead boldly.
Despite making up nearly half of Australia’s workforce, women are glaringly underrepresented in leadership. Only 18.3% of CEOs, 32.5% of managers, and a mere 12.9% of ASX 200 chair roles are held by women. In perspective, there are more men named John or Peter in these positions than women. This stark gap underscores the urgent need to challenge the status quo and level the playing field.
Empower. Connect. Lead. Be the change. Inspire tomorrow.
This summit is more than a conversation — it’s a movement. Through engaging keynote sessions, dynamic panels, and actionable workshops, we’re equipping women with the tools, insights, and connections to thrive in leadership. Featuring trailblazing speakers from diverse industries, the event offers invaluable stories of triumph, lessons learned, and strategies to create lasting change.
Whether you’re an emerging leader or an established executive, the Women in Leadership Summit is your platform to connect with like-minded professionals, gain fresh perspectives, and drive meaningful impact. Together, let’s rewrite the narrative and turn today’s challenges into tomorrow’s opportunities.
Join us in shaping a future where women’s leadership isn’t the exception — it’s the expectation.

The National Women in Transport initiative aims to showcase, support, and increase the number of Australian women working in transport. One way in which this is done is through the Speaker Bureau, which demonstrates the contributions women make to transport across Australia. Speakers are senior leaders across a range of transport modes and specialties.
This is an initiative of Australia’s infrastructure and transport ministers who agreed to the Women in Transport Initiative at the Infrastructure and Transport Ministers’ Meeting (ITMM) in May 2021.
The initiative is supported by the Australian Government and Infrastructure Australia and coordinated by the National Transport Commission.
